Sublime Reflections...

My love for you is true.
I can only say,
You stuck to me like glue,
Through heartache and dismay,

I thank you for being there,
Though the years may wear and tear,
I vow, promise, swear,
I’ll take care of you, anyhow, anywhere.

I’ll take care of you, anyhow, anywhere.
I vow, promise, swear,
Though the years may wear and tear,
I thank you for being there,

Through heartache and dismay,
You stuck to me like glue,
I can only say,
My love for you is true.

For You...

Auburn hair blowing freely;
Noodles in cups, salmon, "HUE", and
Green tea sustains her eternally,
Just as playing with cats in the sand.

It feels like a dream that we're together.
Now, hear as I tell you something that's true.
You, my dearest princess,
I love you.

Lullaby

Go to sleep, my dear.
I'll wipe away your tears.
The sun will rise tomorrow
And take away your fears.

I'll tuck you into bed,
Kiss your head,
Wrap my arms around you;

Replay the words you said
In my head,
Over and over, it's true.

So, I'll hold on tight.
Not letting go tonight.
From this point on,
Until we're gone.

So, go to sleep, my dear.
The sun will rise tomorrow.
You will have nothing to fear;
Forget about your sorrow.
Go to sleep, my dear.

Moonlit Love...

Her smiling face;
Her warm embrace;
Her beauty thus divine;
I can't believe she's mine.

Her gaze, piercing to my core;
Her hands, gentle on bruises thus sore;
Her lips, sweet and fine;
I can't believe she's mine.

Her laugh is what I adore;
Her love, as mystical as ancient lore,
And the way she reads each and every line;
I can't believe she's mine.

She is adorable at any time of the day;
When she has just awoken,
Or when playing with our cat,
Or trying to look innocent when something's broken.

I see that twinkle in her eyes,
When she sniffs her favourite pies.
I've memorised the sound of her sighs
And the subtle variation of her excited cries.

The moon shining her favourite shade of blue
As we lay here under the stars tonight,
I shall not sleep nor shall I blink
For I fear she will be gone by morning light.

Thank You...

Time stands still
As your eyes peer into mine.
Being with you is such a thrill,
Better than any drug or wine.

Ever since you came along,
Your words have been my sweetest song.
Soothing me to no end
And I never once had to pretend.

You accept me as I am;
You're endlessly patient and kind;
You stuck by me always,
Even at times when I lose my mind.

I vow,
Here and now,
To always treat you right,
And never shall we fight.

You have shown me
How to put away my pride;
The countless times you made me see,
When you placed your own aside.

Thank you, for being mine every day;
Thank you for loving me in every way.
I will love you come what may,
I will love you 'till we're old and grey.

It Wasn't Real...

You hoped you wouldn’t be
Just another passing number to me.
You doubted my love for you,
You doubted if it was ever true.

Yet, you gave up at every opportunity,
Walked away with impunity.
Everything I did, you stared at in incredulity,
Yet, your own actions claimed immunity.

Never were you looking to
Live happily ever after with me.
If your words were ever true,
Then why share a room with every single guy you see.

You say I can’t handle a strong, independent woman,
I can’t handle hypocrites is what I say.
You decreed certain actions be outlawed,
Yet, you do them every single day.

Thank you,
You’ve set me free;
Your words were never true,
That much, now plain to see.

Dinner For Two(Part 1)...

At your door he arrives,
He said eight, but he's early.
You're curious and ask him why,
He says he missed you dearly.

Cheeky,
You can't help but smile and grin.
He opens his car door for you,
His hand ready to cushion your head as you get in.

Thankfully you get in fine.
The car frame didn't bump your head, great.
He gets in the driver's seat,
Now, begins the date.

You wonder where he'll bring you,
So you ask - "Where are we going?"
"It's a cute little Italian restaurant". He replies.
"That sounds nice". You say, almost glowing.

He starts asking about your day,
You tell him it was fine and ask about his.
He says "It's getting better with every passing second".
You didn't expect that, but feel you could get used to this.

Arriving at the restaurant,
He stops and alights at the front door;
Opens yours and helps you out,
You wonder how much more he has in store.

At your table, he prepares a chair for you to sit,
You tell him your order and he places it.
You think to yourself that the night is going swell,
Then you realise - he may be acting out the gentleman very well.

You tell yourself you'll wait and see.
If he's acting, he'll get tired somehow.
A crack in his facade is enough to show
Just what kind of a monster he can be.
