Her cheeks, radiant and fair,
Shining under the amber sun.
Her smile, ever the loveliest to the stare;
Her eyes, twinkling from gay fun.
Playful waters lap around her little feet where she laid;
Waves crashing in the distance, caught by her attentive ears;
Echoing in her mind were words once said
By a man who promised to love her through the years.
Alluring brown eyes, devouring pages of a book she’s
reading;
Soft, supple hands, wrapped around its leather binding;
Dark auburn hair gracefully fluttering in the autumn
breeze;
No version or definition of “beauty” can get any better
than these.
Standing some distance away, admiring her, is that very man
Who promised to be by her side in life;
Thanking God and every lucky star he possibly can
For lavishing upon him a most enchanting wife.
