Two souls embraced in the rain
On a cold September’s day.
Feeling one another’s pain,
Each, hoping the other will stay.
One hopes of a happier story;
When rain won’t hide her tears,
Of when she won’t be sorry
For telling him all her fears.
The other hopes she’ll know
Just how much he cares for her so.
Even though he won’t show,
He prays, from his side, she’ll ne’er go.
Two souls embraced in the rain
On a cold September’s day.
Healing one another’s pain
In every possible way.
