Acrostica...

Heavy is the head that wears the crown;
Only smile you’d find is on this clown;
Never have I felt anything but down;
Even faking a smile to hide a frown;
Seems like everyone wants to see me drown;
Time, I guess, to leave this town.

Dear readers, I wanna try something different. Send in your acrostic poem on any theme. This one is for being Honest. Let's come up with a poem that is made up of stanzas from your acrostic poems.

Our wedding day is another bridge love built for us to cross over together.
Under all circumstances, each day we will dedicate our love to one another.
Remembering love is the engine to our future to be filled with our memories.
Wind and rain will come our way, no doubt; I trust in God will carry us through.
Each and every day our duty is to enrich our happiness, pleasure, and rapture.
Dedication will support our commitment as we seal our love from this day on.
Destiny is the running engine to our love to keep our heart pure and profound.
Initially we place our trust, our dreams will grow into our future with fertile ground.
Notions of understanding shall give us perception in the image to face the world.
Growing old together, we will see wrinkles of wisdom as they grow into memories.
Determination will keep our love intertwined with our heart forever and a day.
Answers to our prayers with all the faith our heart can hold we shall always share.
Yesterday, today, and our tomorrow is all we have in our favor to hold us together.

Energy fuels from the breathing internal apparatus went from F to 1/2 to 1/4 like that

X-rays could not find the source: mental deprivation, consistent route to desti, Apollo's chariot having yet to arrive

Hours of the daily grind playing their toll how they would

All the blur of event unfolding as they did, here and there and here and there, mixed together

Unable to motivate, inside or out, no matter the stimuli

Straining to keep the eyelids upright while pushing 70 on HOV

The mattress unquestionably beckoned for his soul--"come back, come back"

Eye bags noticeable even with cover-up, even more without

Dear friends, rest is heaven--fill up on glory

May the angels watch over you my friend throughout this trial
The times we've shared together I shall always treasure
Angels in heaven are shedding tears for you and so am I
Watch for a miracle, have faith and believe in the power of healing
Over and over again I shall pray for you my friend
You mean so very much to me and so much more to the lord

Don’t ever question my love for you…
And don’t you ever wonder if I appreciate all that you do
Don’t you know that you are my Earthly King?
Don’t you know all the joy, affection, and protection you bring?
You are my Daddy Dearest – the man whom I cherish, love and adore

Designated by the Divine to be my parent, my friend, my life mentor
Encouraging my talent, believing in my dreams, complimenting my beauty
Always nourishing my esteem. It’s always my pleasure to hear God’s word
Resonate from your lips. Like King Solomon to his child your instruction was strict
Extra thick with knowledge, wisdom, self-respect and sophistication
So much emphasis placed on education and I thank you. I know I am special in your eyes
That I am sure, and I love you, I love you – I love you everyday Daddy, more and more

This is not the first song which I’m writing for you,

Heartless everyday yet I write something on you,

Endlessly I have realized that now I can’t forget you.

Lexicon now can’t give enough words to me,

Any sunrise now can’t ignite that passion in me.

Sorrow surrounds me from every side,

This light now seems to turn into a dark night.

Stop coming into my thoughts,

Oh! I don’t need you anymore.

Now I have started to move on with life,

Go away, I don’t cry for you anymore.

I’m watching the passage of your every memory,

Most of them now seem like some old sad story.

Writing was my passion, but you made it my life,

As about you I can write throughout my life.

Still I swear I’ll never write anything more on you,

This pain which you gave me is now counting on you.

I will find something else to waste my words,

No more I will write just to feel good enough.

Gnarled I will feel to write again those words.

Oh! This is the last song I’m wasting on you,

No, now you can’t hide as this one is just for you.

Your presence no more surrounds me,

Only I feel myself and this world without you.

Unwillingly I promise I will never waste my words on you…

The streets are empty & the stores are closed,

The whole city is dark minus one café.

Like a beacon the café shines through the darkness.

And yet it only seems to add to the darkness.

The patrons are few, two men & one woman.

The café is manned by a single employee.

Four people in total, but the café feels empty.

They squint through the blinding light.

They smoke , they drink their coffee,

No words are shared, no merriment is had.

They sit and wait, as if avoiding the darkness.

Perhaps the patrons are simply avoiding ugliness

Putting off ugly business, having one last drink,

Before returning to ugly lives.

How the Chimney-sweeper's cry
Every blackning Church appalls;
And the hapless Soldier's sigh
Runs in blood down Palace walls.

Elizabeth it is in vain you say
"Love not" — thou sayest it in so sweet a way:
In vain those words from thee or L.E.L.
Zantippe's talents had enforced so well:
Ah! if that language from thy heart arise,
Breath it less gently forth — and veil thine eyes.
Endymion, recollect, when Luna tried
To cure his love — was cured of all beside —
His follie — pride — and passion — for he died.

An acrostic poem for

Before I must leave your

Comforting embrace.

Darkness gave me the strength to

Express my genuine

Feelings about you.

Giving me that love and support

Has allowed me to grow more than

I ever thought was possible.

Just sitting there and listening to you talk

Kept me sane for these months.

Life without you will be bleak and

Miserable for a while, but I think that the

Next time we meet, I will be

Overcome with emotion; though that is a secret few can be

Privy to. It's strange. Without you, I feel too

Quiet and my heart feels so

Restricted now that I have lost that outlet.

So it is my greatest wish

That I get the privilege to meet you again, but you must

Understand. I will never be the same again.

Vivacity has entered my bones and this

Wonder you have given me through opportunities to be a

Xenagogue and a confidante. To be

Your family, despite my often-overbearing

Zeal. Thank you.

What a W.O.N.D.E.R You Are

What a wonder you are, my child of my dreams.
Oh how I have loved you - you grew up so fast it seems.
No life would have been so wonderful without you being there.
Dare now to spread your wings and fly off somewhere.
Ever in my heart, no matter where you venture or light.
Remember, I love you always and forever, by day or by night.

Peering into the deep coffee cup
each white wisp formed a cloud in the liquid
rolling around before rising in the air
chances were our drinker could
envisage the future from her brew
peering at the bottom of her
tannin stained tea receptacle
if you were expecting coffee
our mystic would say you would be wrong
no real mystic could read the mud from a coffee.

Writing from the heart
Evaluate things from the start
Leaning on own understanding
Can't be too demanding
Oftentimes may miss a idea
Making plans to flee
Even if it is just me

Precious in Your gracious eyes
Realize the truth even when told lies
Only Yours do I really want to be
Make moves in my life and in me
Impossible is entirely possible in Your will
Striving to be closer to You and ask to fill
Every part of me beyond anything run of mill

Best friends
Enjoy your company,
Sometimes make you laugh;
Tell really silly jokes!
Forget your bad moods but
Remember your birthday.
Invite you to share
Emotions, excursions...
Never play mind games, or lie!
Don't doubt you care, and
Say "see ya" instead of "goodbye".

As Yom Kippur comes to an end
Those sins we've not committed yet
Our Lord has sealed for the upcoming year
Night befalls, and the twenty-fifth hour ends
Ending the holy day, The Day of Atonement
Mercy the Lord grants
Enduring forever and ever
No need to frown or brood- no shame
Taunt turning Jewish, so what if I am?
